Lyrics

Thinking about the time, I went and stood in line and Asked the man about some free cash. But that man was a woman, and I was barely human Hung my self-esteem out to dry Am I an immigrant? Am I decadent? Is this money hell-bent or heaven-sent? Did I come to this, through cowardice? Does it make any sense at all? All? All-time low. All-time low. All-time low. Wearing lead boots and hitting rock bottom low. Thinking about the place where I left the human race Could not look my flat-mate in the face Taking out my rage on a three-lock glass cage Now it lies in shards at my feet Took my time; would not die Couldn't feel I couldn't even try Look for solace, in a tall glass Could not find any at all. All-time low. Tying that noose and hitting rock bottom low. Thank you for bringing up these bitter memories. Oh yeah, you didn't ask, it's all me, it's all me and my... All-time low.

Story

What can I say, another bummer of a song? It’s actually an optimistic song: when you’re at the bottom you’ve got nowhere to go but up. Reminds me of Big Sugar in a blues-played-by-non-blues-guys kind of way.
