Well, it was a fun show, I have to question the $30 cover charge though... when people can see the same bands in the same club for $5 or $6, 364 days of the year, does New Year's Eve justify a 500% price increase? Obviously it was Eugene's decision not ours, and I'm sure he made money on the night, but I know I personally wouldn't have paid that much.
I can't help but wonder if there would have been more people there if the price had been more reasonable, I know a couple of people that would have paid $10 or $15 that didn't go because it was $20/$30. Oh well, let's not dwell on the negative...
Overall a fairly uneventful evening, everyone had other places to go so we didn't stick around for long. We played well (I thought) and the smallish crowd seemed to appreciate it. Only saw Dopamine's stuff in sound-check but they sounded cool, pretty original style of alt-rock, and nice guys too.
Thanks to those who dug deep and showed up at the show, and thanks to Eugene for asking us to play...
