A very fun show. We were supposed to go on at 9:00pm but Eugene actually let us delay until 9:30 so the room could fill up a bit more. Maybe he's softening up!
Andrew Drummer-Boy Swift was out of town soaking up the sun in the tropics so our old friend and original Laguna drummer Rob Porter filled in on the traps.
We all played well and there were no major screwups despite the fact that we only had one rehearsal with Rob.
Nice to see some pals like Slo' Tom Stewart out to the show.
The other bands all played well, the sound was great as usual (thanks Paul!) and there was just a general good vibe throughout the evening.
I chatted with Leslie Goldthorpe, the organizer of NXNE and it turns out we still have to apply for the festival just like everyone else (we thought we had an "in"!) but at least I have her name so I'll send the stuff right to her and remind her of who we are. Thanks Leslie and all at NXNE for organizing a groovy show. Did we make the grade?
